Danone filed a lawsuit this week against dairy rival Chobani over the look and slogan of the latter’s cold brew coffee brand.
Danone, according to Reuters, accused Chobani of infringing on its trademarks in the filing in Manhattan federal court. The complaint contended that Chobani’s La Colombe coffee comes in “strikingly similar” yellow-and-black packaging compared to that of the French company’s Stok brand.
The report found that 92.1% of the company’s packaging was designed to be recyclable, exceeding its goal of making 90% of packaging recyclable. Other packaging goals Ferrero aims to achieve include increasing plastic recycled content to 12% by 2025 using a 2019-20 baseline and reducing virgin plastic use by 10% before 2025 using a 2019-20 baseline.
ProAmpac has launched its ProActive recycle-ready, polyolefin-based films for high-speed chunk cheese packaging. The solution is said to withstand the demanding conditions of chunk cheese production without compromising shelf life and performance.
The ProActive films for cheese are transparent, allowing the consumer to see the product before purchasing. According to the company, it is puncture-resistant and capable of handling the high temperatures during the high-speed filling process.
