Mt Rainier collaborates with Evangelion on new packaging for coffee sold in convenience stores

The Evangelion-themed packaging comes in 6 different designs. The designs feature silhouettes of some of the most iconic Evangelion units but also features more subtle patterns taken from the show, such as the font for the series’ title cards and the style of NERV’s user interface.

The Mt Rainier x Evangelion coffee packaging designs are currently available in limited quantities at convenience stores all across Japan.

Preventing obesity starts in the grocery aisle with food packaging

In 2018, Statistics Canada reported that nearly one in three Canadians were obese.

Similar figures have been reported in Australia, but more concerning is the US, where over forty percent of the population is obese.

Obesity is not the only diet-related illness to be concerned about — diabetes is just as prevalent.

When it comes to such diseases, diet and physical activity help reduce the chance of being diagnosed. In fact, when it comes to Type 2 diabetes, diet and physical activity can prevent 50 per cent of it.

Somerset cheese maker Wyke Farms gets a brand refresh across its packaging

The UK’s largest independent cheese producer has this week revealed new branding for its core range of cheddar; Mature, Extra Mature and Vintage, including the 550g family size pack.

Somerset-based Wyke Farms, whose products are consumed in around 165 countries worldwide, said the refresh has achieved a reduction of 35% less packaging being used and allowed room for Wyke Farms’ “unique provenance and sustainability USP’s”.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Co. is launching a new look and feel for its Intense Dark line to make it easier for shoppers to find on-shelf and to better communicate its intense flavor.

Consumer insights and testing guided the brand to maintain much of what consumers know and recognize about Ghirardelli, with updates to the overall look of the products for more visibility and taste appeal. Changes include a modernized font, more attention-grabbing, bold colors and improved product photography.

Rowse Honey switches to gold caps as it commits to 100% recyclable packaging

It has been phasing out the use of black plastic in its bottle caps over the summer and should have removed up to 100 metric tons (mt) of black plastic from its supply chain this month.

Rowse has also confirmed it is phasing in the use of recycled plastic in its plastic bottles, setting itself an initial target of 30% recycled plastic across all its honey SKUs in 2021.

This initiative will result in 135mt of virgin plastic being removed from its supply chain annually.

Boxheads is a fully integrated campaign spanning TV, out-of-home, digital, social and PR to celebrate the brand’s role as the official beer of the England men’s football team.

All 12 and 20-bottle packs of Bud Light sold in England will be adorned by the larger-than-life faces of Jordan Pickford, Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier, which can double up as a helmet for fans to proudly display their allegiance having drunk its contents.

A limited-edition England beer can be adorned by the Three Lions national team motif will complete the packaging tie-in.
