Under the impetus of Malva Moncalvo, this Italian house is launching a collection of nine fragrances with a powerful universe conceived around Italian and European creation. Coverpla had the honor of developing the primary packaging, a bottle and cap, and realizing the décor.
Malva 1979 is the name of this young brand revealed by Malva Moncalvo last September. With authenticity and deep commitment, the brand champions essentially Italian manufacturing without concession, with a coffret designed by artisans to last and be reused. For the products themselves, Coverpla Italy piloted the mix-and-match of bottle and cap and the different stages of personalization.
With names including Pied dans l’eau, Nude Essence, Amber Diary, Happy Birthday and Note of Silence, each of the nine fragrances translates a dreamlike world made up of abstract shapes emerging from the depths in a play of light and dark.
Mix & match and so much more…
Working hand in hand with the team at Coverpla, the brand chose a combination of the Trek bottle in a 100ml format with the Magnet aluminum cap in a shiny black hue. A delicate screen print was then applied to the front of the bottle as well as tone-on-tone on the top of the cap. For its discovery formats, the brand chose Coverpla’s Pocket bottle and cap in a 10ml format, with the name screen-printed onto the bottle and the logo applied to the cap. These miniatures are presented in an elegant set.
“We chose Coverpla as our partner initially for its exclusively European footprint, from glass to pumps via caps, as well as for its personalization capacity. MALVA 1979 was thus able to communicate its refinement and elegance thanks to high quality screen-printing on the glass and caps. Each creation is an invitation to live fragrance not as a simple status symbol, but as an intimate affirmation of identity that can accompany and define those that choose it,” Malva Moncalvo explains.
