Schreiner Group is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its production site in China, marking a decade of continuous growth and strategic expansion in one of the world’s most important industrial markets. Over the past ten years, the facility located in the Greater Shanghai Metropolitan Area has evolved into a key component of the company’s global operations.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, CEO Roland Schreiner and Thomas Köberlein, President of the Schreiner ProTech business unit, visited the site and reaffirmed its strategic importance within the Group’s international growth strategy.

Strong International Expansion

During an internal celebration attended by the site’s more than 30 employees, CEO Roland Schreiner highlighted the successful development of the operation over the past decade.

“What has been created here over the past ten years impressively demonstrates how successfully our internationalization strategy is being implemented,” said Roland Schreiner.

The Shanghai facility supplies both international and local customers across the automotive, industrial and pharmaceutical sectors. Since its establishment, the site has continuously expanded — not only in terms of customer base, workforce and machinery, but also through the development of local expertise and operational capabilities.

Due to sustained growth, the original facility in Fengpu eventually reached capacity limits. As a result, Schreiner Group relocated operations to a significantly larger facility in Jinshan at the end of 2022, doubling the available production space.

Customer Proximity and Local Market Focus

The company emphasized that its local presence enables shorter decision-making processes, faster response times and a deeper understanding of regional customer requirements.

“Our presence in Shanghai allows us to stay very close to our customers, understand their requirements precisely and develop suitable solutions efficiently,” said Jamie Long, General Manager of Schreiner Group (Shanghai) Company Ltd.

Building Long-Term Partnerships

The anniversary celebrations also focused on strengthening relationships with customers and local authorities. Alongside employee events, company representatives held meetings with customers and officials from the local Chinese administration.

Roland Schreiner and Thomas Köberlein also visited the Jinshan Industrial Park together with government representatives to further reinforce cooperation and long-term development plans.

“Relations with the local administration built on trust create the basis for stability and future growth,” emphasized Thomas Köberlein.

Schreiner Group confirmed that the Jinshan location will continue to play a central role in its international strategy, supported by technological expertise, entrepreneurial continuity and close collaboration with customers and regional partners.
