Procter & Gamble (P&G) created the "P&G Purifier of Water" powder packet, which purifies water for drinking. The technology, originally intended for laundry, allows users to treat 10 liters of water using a bucket, stick, and cloth. P&G distributes these packets through its Children's Safe Drinking Water (CSDW) Program, partnering with non-profits in over 90 countries to provide clean water to communities in need and in emergency situations. As of early 2023, the program had provided over 20 billion liters of clean water, with a goal of 25 billion by 2025.
