Amcor (NYSE: AMCR; ASX: AMC), a global leader in responsible packaging solutions, has announced that Maison Guerlain’s newly launched Aqua Allegoria hand creams feature packaging made with Amcor’s advanced CleanStream® premium post-consumer recycled (PCR) polymer.
The Aqua Allegoria hand creams are formulated with over 97% natural-origin ingredients*, making sustainable and premium packaging a key priority for the iconic French brand. Amcor’s CleanStream® technology delivers a high-purity recycled plastic that meets the strict requirements for contact-sensitive applications, without compromising product protection, aesthetics, or functionality.
Amcor’s proprietary process goes beyond conventional material-based sorting by using multiple AI-driven steps—including automated identification, sorting, and decontamination—to create a recycled polymer that rivals the quality of virgin plastic.
“The beauty sector faces the challenge of uniting luxury and sustainability,” said Marine Sueur, Sales Director for France at Amcor. “CleanStream® was developed to bridge this gap with a high-quality polymer that meets both environmental and performance standards.”
The packaging design draws inspiration from Maison Guerlain’s emblematic bee, featuring a hexagonal honeycomb motif. Produced in polypropylene (PP), the bottles come in three color variations to distinguish the different product ranges. Their multilayer construction ensures optimal protection for the hand cream formulas, while screen printing and a matte, colorless varnish enhance their premium finish.
Made entirely from PP, the bottles are recyclable in regions across Europe where suitable recycling infrastructure exists. Both the bottle and cap are manufactured at Amcor’s facilities in France, ensuring a fully integrated packaging solution for Maison Guerlain.
