With Memora, Lumson turns grape residues into innovative packaging

Dubbed Deluxe, the new 50 ml refill jar developed by Lumson is made from post-consumer recycled glass (PCR) . Its plastic plate, cover, and rechargeable inner cup are made from ReKrill Uva, a TÜV-certified biodegradable bioplastic [1].

In addition, an integrated NFC chip gives consumers access to a dedicated brand platform designed to support loyalty programs, encourage packaging reuse or recycling, and foster other forms of consumer engagement.

The innovation is part of a larger, public-funded project dubbed Memora inspired by the notion of reclaiming what would otherwise be cast aside. For its development, Lumson partnered with the startup Krill Design and collaborated researchers from the Politecnico di Milano.
