An official supplier to the Crown and European courts in the 19th century, Maison PIVER is enjoying a new youth. For this range of eaux de parfum and colognes, Nelly Chenelat chose a bottle at the crossroads between yesterday and tomorrow, and a zamak cap produced by Segede Industrie; a project of excellence for an announced success.
Founded in 1774 under the reign of Louis XVI by Michel Adam, the Parisian house, then called "À la Reine des Fleurs", is one of the oldest perfumeries in France. Becoming L.T. Piver in the 19th century under the leadership of Louis-Toussaint Piver, the brand was the first in France to incorporate synthetic products into its compositions and to industrialize its production. We owe it successes such as Trèfle Incarnat or Pompeïa. After several decades of discretion, the house opens a new chapter under the guidance of Nelly Chenelat, whose sharp vision of contemporary luxury is well recognized. This new range honors the authentic charm that made the brand's success. Eaux de parfum and colognes, miniatures and scented candles are showcased in delicately illustrated boxes and charming labels. On its own, the bottle is a bridge between the history of haute parfumerie and its future.
Industrial excellence at the service of an aura
Initially designed in other materials, the cap is now transposed into zamak in order to move upmarket. Segede Industrie mobilized its historical mold-making expertise of nearly 70 years to develop and build this mold entirely in-house. This highly technical tool made it possible to bring unprecedented complex shapes to life. Respecting the traditional vision and the vintage aesthetic desired by the brand, this cap features a silhouette inspired by the Maison's historical bottles, enhanced by the engraving of its logo.
Recycled zamak and gold finish
To offer the product the aesthetic it deserves, while adapting to global economic challenges, the choice fell on a shiny gold finish achieved by cataphoretic varnish. This method, which guarantees irreproachable resistance and brilliance, appears as a strategic alternative to traditional galvanization and detaches itself from the volatility of gold prices. Faithful to Segede's commitments to Clean Metal Packaging, this cap integrates 30% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) recycled zamak, proving that a luxurious design can be part of a circular economy loop.
"Supporting a female successor like Nelly Chenelat and backing her vision of excellence is an honor for a family business like Segede. The values of heritage, transmission, and business takeover resonate deeply within us: putting our 70 years of expertise at the service of L.T. Piver's rebirth gives full meaning to our role as a luxury manufacturer," comments Claire Trescartes, Executive Manager at Segede.
