Starting August 10, immediately after the conclusion of the holy month of Shravan, the temple authorities will implement a total ban on all plastic items within the temple premises.

This includes commonly used plastic containers for offerings such as milk, garlands, and other packaging materials, which will no longer be permitted inside the sacred complex.

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has obtained an Indian patent for a biodegradable packaging material derived from flower waste. This innovation, titled “Multipurpose Biodegradable Packaging Material Prepared from Flower Waste,” signifies a significant advancement in tackling the twin challenges of plastic pollution and organic waste accumulation.
