Milacron has inaugurated its first Global Capability Center (GCC) in Coimbatore, India, marking a significant step in the company’s global engineering and technology expansion. The new facility is designed to strengthen Milacron’s engineering capabilities, support innovation and enhance customer support across international markets.
The purpose-built center, inaugurated on July 20, 2026, will initially accommodate a growing team of more than 60 engineers. The investment highlights Milacron’s focus on developing engineering talent in India while leveraging the country’s growing capabilities in advanced manufacturing and plastics processing technologies.
According to Milacron, the Coimbatore GCC will serve as an important engineering and technology hub for its global operations. The center is expected to contribute to product development, engineering excellence and customer support, enabling the company to strengthen its ability to respond to evolving requirements across global markets.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Suraj Thodimarath, Managing Director, Milacron India, in the presence of the company’s senior leadership team. Milacron CEO Mac Jones, CFO of MTS Tim Mulligan, CHRO and VP Kristen Jackson, and VP of Technology & Innovation Andy Stirn also participated in the inauguration and highlighted the strategic importance of the new center to the company’s global engineering network.
Milacron provides highly engineered technologies for the plastics processing industry, including injection molding, extrusion, auxiliary equipment, automation, digital solutions, aftermarket services and process-control technologies. Its solutions serve industries such as packaging, automotive, medical, construction and consumer goods.
