Highland Park, the renowned Orkney-based distillery, has introduced a captivating new travel-exclusive whisky collection that pays homage to the island's diverse landscapes. The collection features three distinct expressions: Land of Orkney 14-Year-Old, Sea of Orkney 16-Year-Old, and Sky of Orkney 18-Year-Old. Each expression is meticulously crafted to reflect the unique character of Orkney's land, sea, and sky, offering travelers a sensory journey through the island's natural wonders.
The packaging design is a visual tribute to Orkney's environment, featuring strata patterns and vibrant color palettes that mirror the island's terrain, coastal waters, and expansive skies. The bottles themselves have been redesigned to showcase the natural hues of the whisky, derived entirely from cask aging, and proudly bear the "Product of Orkney" engraving, emphasizing the brand's deep-rooted heritage.
Highland Park's Master Whisky Maker, Gordon Motion, highlighted the significance of Orkney's heathered peat in crafting the distillery's signature flavor profile. "It's Orkney’s heathered peat that gives us our subtly smoky flavor, and it's as unique as the place it's made," Motion explained. "With the packaging update, we have a great opportunity to celebrate a new look while continuing to share the distinctive, consistent whisky we're famed for.
The new travel-exclusive range will be available in duty-free outlets worldwide starting early 2025, offering whisky enthusiasts a chance to experience the essence of Orkney in every sip.
