SÜDPACK Medica Showcases Recyclable PharmaGuard® Blister and New MedHub® Service at Pharmapack !

At Pharmapack Europe, SÜDPACK Medica will once again demonstrate its commitment to outstanding service, customer focus, and sustainable innovation. At Booth 4F12, the company will present PharmaGuard®, its pioneering recyclable blister packaging concept, alongside MedGuard®, a comprehensive portfolio of low-particle packaging and pouch solutions for medical and pharmaceutical applications.

As a further highlight, SÜDPACK Medica will introduce MedHub®, a new service designed to simplify and accelerate the ordering of pre-made three-side-seal pouches in a wide range of standard sizes.

PharmaGuard®: Recyclable Blister Packaging with Enhanced Performance

The PharmaGuard® packaging concept is now available in two versions. In addition to the award-winning transparent film, SÜDPACK Medica has launched a white blister film that delivers high opacity and improved print legibility.

This PP-based mono-material solution is free from phthalates, vinyl, PFAS, and halogens, and offers:

  • Excellent water vapor barrier properties
  • Outstanding push-through performance
  • Reliable processability on standard blister packaging machines

Most importantly, PharmaGuard® is fully recyclable and, according to an ISO 14040/44-verified life cycle assessment (LCA) by Sphera, has a significantly lower climate impact than conventional aluminum-PET composite blister materials.

MedGuard®: Low-Particle Packaging for Medical and Pharma Applications

Under the MedGuard® brand, SÜDPACK Medica offers a broad range of packaging systems for medical devices and sensitive products. The portfolio includes robust rigid and flexible films, as well as tailored pouch concepts, all manufactured under controlled clean room conditions to ensure maximum product protection, stability, and sterility throughout the entire process chain.

SÜDPACK materials can be equipped with custom barrier and peel properties and are compatible with flexible lidding systems made from film, Tyvek®, or medical-grade paper. These systems ensure secure tray sealing and are designed for highly automated packaging processes.

Thermoformable rigid films based on recyclable PET and PP are ideally suited for tray packaging that secures surgical kits, instruments, syringes, and ampoules. In addition, films, paper, and aluminum structures can be processed into pouches on standard form-fill-seal (FFS) systems, with configurations tailored to customer-specific oxygen, moisture, and light barrier requirements.

Comprehensive Pouch Portfolio on Display

Another key focus at Pharmapack will be SÜDPACK Medica’s extensive pouch portfolio, which includes both standardized and customized solutions. Applications range from:

  • Process pouches for bioreactors
  • Header and patched bags for instrument sterilization
  • Transfer of sterilized products between clean rooms

This portfolio also includes three-side-seal pouches, which can be precisely adapted to individual customer needs in terms of shape, material combinations, functionality, and printing.

MedHub®: Simplified Ordering for Pre-Made Medical Pouches

For customers requiring a reliable supply of standard-format medical bags and pouches, SÜDPACK Medica is launching its new MedHub® service. MedHub offers maximum flexibility with minimal effort, enabling fast and dependable delivery either on a fixed date or just-in-time.

All products are manufactured in ISO-classified clean rooms and supported by standardized certifications, ensuring compliance with the highest medical quality and safety standards. At Pharmapack in Paris, SÜDPACK Medica’s film specialists will present MedHub® to the public for the first time, demonstrating how easily orders can be placed via phone, email, or online.
