In a significant move towards sustainable packaging, SIG has partnered with Ampol Food to launch the SIG DomeMini, an innovative on-the-go carton bottle, in Thailand. This collaboration marks the debut of SIG DomeMini in the Thai market, aligning with the growing consumer demand for eco-friendly packaging solutions.
Ampol Food, a prominent player in the food and beverage manufacturing industry, has chosen the SIG DomeMini for its V-FIT premium rice-based nutritional drink range. The SIG DomeMini combines the convenience of a plastic bottle with the environmental benefits of a carton pack, offering a sustainable alternative for health-conscious consumers.
The SIG DomeMini is primarily made from FSC™-certified paperboard and is designed for recycling. Manufactured using 100% renewable electricity, it boasts a lightweight and space-saving design, reducing the environmental footprint compared to traditional plastic bottles. The ergonomic design features a large, centrally positioned cap, making it easy to open and reclose, ideal for on-the-go consumption.
Dr. Kriangsak Theppadungporn, Managing Director at Ampol Food, stated, "We are leading the way, not only when it comes to innovation in our products, but also in setting the trend for packaging solutions as part of the product concept. Opting for the SIG DomeMini is a step towards more sustainable on-the-go packaging in Thailand."
Vatcharapong Ungsrisawasdi, Head of Market Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar at SIG, added, "The market for on-the-go beverages in Thailand is growing, and the market entry of SIG DomeMini with its sustainability benefits offers a perfect alternative to tackle the challenges of plastic bottles."
The SIG DomeMini 12 Aseptic filling machine enhances production efficiency, capable of aseptically filling 12,000 packages per hour across seven volume sizes ranging from 180 to 350ml, with volume changes achievable in just 15 minutes.
This partnership between SIG and Ampol Food signifies a progressive step towards sustainable packaging in Thailand, offering consumers an eco-conscious choice without compromising on convenience.
