shift from glass jars to sig combibloc for passata packaging

sig combibloc wil be used for private brand of waitrose&39s passata both variants chopped basil and onion & garlic. this shift enable moving from 680g glass jar to 500ml carton pack. the products are filled in filling machines from sig by &39la doria in italy. the low weight alternative to glass along with better environment performance of cardboard, the shift was a preferred choice. as told by category manager of waitrose john vine
