itc packaging under its technology named &ldquolonglifeq&rdquo developed container for a guacamole a product from spanish company fruits montosa. the guacamole is a product with a very limited life cycle. this high barrier in mold label provided by verstraete iml helps preserve the product and communicating it on the shelf. the labeling of containers with iml barrier allows greatly reduce the oxygen permeability of packaging in injected pp polypropylene. ppevohpp multilayer iml barrier provides topquality decoration while enclosing the entire pack, with less handling than other decoration methods such as dry offset, sleeve or pml. this iml will significantly reduced the transmission of oxygen and or light from outside into the package by covering the entire surface of the container. this allows the food to prolong life and even in some cases avoid the need to preserve food cold or use additional preservatives. it has applications for meat products, freshcut and readytoserve.
