romaco has created a system allowing&nbspoptical verification of medications in blister packaging, which it demonstrated at the recent achema exhibition. the technology takes advantage of highspeed&nbsp3d scanning methods&nbspwhich allow coding such as micro barcodes to be read on the surface of products at the micron level. it is also possible for individual&nbsppills to be marked with a surface topography code&nbspwhich can be scanned through the packaging and verified against a corresponding code printed onto the blister pack. verification can be a simple and efficient process, requiring only a laser pointer, making implementation of the system relatively straightforward.&nbsp &nbsp
