At FachPack 2025 in Nürnberg, Korozo Group, a global leader in flexible packaging, is making a bold statement: the future of packaging is sustainable, recyclable, and circular. Exhibiting in Hall 4, Stand 343, the company is unveiling a portfolio of solutions designed to meet today’s most pressing food packaging demands while keeping tomorrow’s sustainability goals firmly in sight.
From proteins such as meat, fish, and dairy, to confectionery, bakery items, frozen foods, and snacks, Korozo is addressing every corner of the food industry with packaging that blends functionality, efficiency, and recyclability.
“Consumer demand for proteins continues to rise, and with it the responsibility of food producers to deliver safe, high-quality products,” said Kemal Yurum, Protein Segment Market Manager at Korozo. “Packaging must do more than just protect food it must extend shelf life, enhance retail appeal, and deliver convenience, all while being resource-efficient and designed to be recycled.”
Innovation at the Core: KoroRCY and Beyond
At the heart of Korozo’s showcase is its proprietary KoroRCY PE-based laminating film, already adopted by brands across Europe. Integrated into pouches, films, and flow packs, KoroRCY enables highly functional mono-material structures that are compatible with existing recycling streams.
These materials don’t compromise on performance either offering enhanced barrier protection and durability across applications in fresh, frozen, and dried foods, as well as non-food categories.
Korozo is also presenting MDO-PE mono-material structures with over 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, helping brands align with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which will require 35% PCR content in non-food contact applications by 2030.
Leading the Circular Transition
For Dr. Betul Turel Erbay, Chief Innovation and Sustainability Officer at Korozo, the company’s role in the future of packaging is clear:
“As a manufacturer of flexibles and films, we see ourselves at the center of the circular packaging value chain. Innovations like KoroRCY are essential for helping the industry move towards a sustainable future. Our promise is simple but powerful Delivering Sustainability, Pack by Pack.”
With the EU’s PPWR just a year away from implementation, Korozo emphasizes that now is the time for brands and retailers to act decisively. FachPack 2025, running from 23–25 September in Nürnberg, provides the perfect stage for the industry to reflect, recalibrate, and embrace opportunities for a secure, sustainable, and future-proof packaging landscape.
