Muller Technology has introduced a new six-axis case packer built around an industrial six-axis robot and promising higher productivity than the company‘s recently launched cobot case packer. Targeting high-volume packaging lines, the six-axis case packer offers higher cavitation for the production of blow-molded bottles and thermoformed or injection molded packaging, handling up to 64 cavities every six seconds for lids, with five-second cycles for containers.

Diageo has announced a new partnership with ecoSPIRITS, a technology company that produces circular packaging solutions for the premium spirits and wine industry, to pilot a sustainable packaging format starting with Smirnoff and Captain Morgan in Southeast Asia, with the view of a later rollout across the Asia-Pacific region.

Origin Materials, Inc., the world’s leading carbon negative materials company, and LVMH Beauty, a division of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the global leader in luxury products, today announced a strategic partnership to develop sustainable low-carbon footprint packaging for the perfumes and cosmetics industry.

As part of the strategic partnership, LVMH has signed a multi-year capacity reservation agreement with Origin Materials to purchase sustainable, carbon-negative PET (polyethylene terephthalate) for use in packaging for perfumes and cosmetics.

Transitioning to Sustainable Packaging

In fact, companies, governments, and other organizations representing more than 20 percent of the plastic packaging market committed to ambitious goals for 2025 to realize a common vision of a circular economy for plastics.

Amcor a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, today announced it is the first company to purchase certified circular polyethylene material using ExxonMobil’s Exxtend™ technology for advanced recycling. Amcor will leverage this new material across its global portfolio, providing customers in the healthcare and food industries with circular content in a variety of solutions and applications.

The fund will target investments in the following six categories:

The new spheres are compostable and do not include plastic wrapping. Launching with the first of these sustainable spheres is the all new L.O.L.

French heritage fashion brand Lacoste is launching a sustainable and eco-friendly twist to its bestseller polo, with the introduction of the Loop Polo made using recycled cotton from surplus Lacoste polos.

The eco-friendly unisex Loop Polo is composed of 30 percent recycled cotton spun together with 70 percent virgin cotton, made using a “closed-loop” process, which means no two polos are identical.

The Lee Skinny jeans packaging makes just as much of a fashion statement as the jeans themselves. The trend here is “skinny” and everything from the jeans inside the box to the jeans themselves are “skinny.” The packaging also adds to the visual merchandising of their stores.
