New French luxury skincare brand Dix Hectares has debuted a striking marbled cap design for its first two products, achieved through the combined expertise of FaiveleyTech and Sulapac. This collaboration brings together refined aesthetics, sensory detail, and eco-conscious materials to reflect the brand’s sophisticated identity.
For its inaugural duo—Seasonal Cream and Seasonal Serum—Dix Hectares envisioned packaging that merges elegance with sustainability. Inspired by the richness of its Grand Cru terroir, the brand partnered with FaiveleyTech and Sulapac to elevate one of the collection’s key design elements: the cap.
A Collaboration Driven by Excellence
FaiveleyTech’s Beauty Business Unit embraced the challenge of engineering two highly innovative caps at its Orgelet facility in France’s Jura region. Both the product lids and the decorative sphere featured on the cream incorporate a marbled effect, offering refined visual depth and a uniquely sensorial feel.
The sphere, designed for ergonomic ease, enhances the user’s gesture and reinforces the brand’s emphasis on sensorial experience.
Creating this signature marbled look required overcoming two key challenges:
1. Perfecting the Marbled Aesthetic
Achieving the precise interplay of deep tones and delicate light veining demanded close to 100 trials. The breakthrough came through FaiveleyTech’s pioneering multi-injection “sandwich molding” technology, enabling the simultaneous injection of four colorants. This expertise positions FaiveleyTech as France’s leading specialist in the technique.
2. Mastering Complex Geometry
For the first time, FaiveleyTech applied its multi-injection process to components with extensive, uniquely shaped flat surfaces—a technical feat essential to meeting Dix Hectares’ high standards for both visual purity and tactile quality.
“Multi-injection molding is more than a technical milestone — it’s a gateway to aesthetic and sustainable innovation,” says Beryl Tomaschett, Sales Director at FaiveleyTech Orgelet.
“The marbled effect creates a singular visual and tactile experience, where sensuality meets true environmental responsibility.”
Sulapac®: Sustainability Meets Luxury
The partnership also leverages the strength of Sulapac, a leading supplier of bio-based premium materials. For Dix Hectares, Sulapac delivers a solution where sustainability does not compromise performance or desirability:
