BW Packaging elevates Hayssen ISB with award-winning OpView™ HMI

BW Packaging’s Hayssen ISB (Intelligent Sanitary Bagger), a vertical form-fill-seal system, now includes their proprietary OpView™ HMI, an award-winning human-machine interface that is recognized for its role in simplifying operator experience and streamlining troubleshooting of packaging machinery.

“What’s special about OpView™ is that regardless of an operator’s experience level, they can use its modern interface to easily set up, operate and troubleshoot the machine in either English, Spanish or French languages,” said Joe Ambrose, Director, Innovation-Controls, BW Packaging. “It’s a highly valuable solution for manufacturing operations where scarcity of experienced operators is a common challenge.”

Since its original release in 2020, the Hayssen ISB has set new standards in hygienic machine design for wet manufacturing environments, such as salad and prepared produce, and frozen foods such as chicken breasts and vegetables. Its sloped, open-channel stainless steel frame withstands IP66-rated washdown and enables manufacturers to combat listeria risk, helping them avoid cross-contamination and product recalls.

The Hayssen ISB vertical form-fill-seal bagger is equipped with a range of intelligently designed features to enhance the operators' ease of use. It features colored status lighting for real-time machine alerts, a walk-through frame for maintenance accessibility and scaling/center lining for consistent bag quality. It runs bags up to 21 inches wide with in-line or transverse zippers, reaching speeds up to 150 bags per minute.

“Pairing the Hayssen ISB with our modern HMI was the next logical step to better serve the evolving needs of manufacturers interested in buying new or upgrading their existing machines,” said Brantley Turner, Senior Product Manager, Flexibles, BW Packaging. “Our OpView™ HMI software is engineered with Allen-Bradley's advanced Optix hardware and empowers operators to be self-sufficient through guided onboarding/training, intuitive navigation and clear functional parameters. It also features an exclusive technology that gives step-by-step instructions to maximize machine speed.”

For generations, manufacturers have chosen the Hayssen brand as their go-to partner for flexible packaging solutions. With a legacy built on exceptional performance, unmatched reliability and lifetime support for parts, service and upgrades, BW Packaging delivers on what matters most.
