UFlex Secures 20-Year Patent for High-Speed Aseptic Packaging Machine

UFlex Limited has been granted a 20-year Indian patent for a high-speed twin aseptic packaging machine designed for liquid food products. The patent, granted by the Indian Patent Office, protects the company's technology for a machine developed to improve packaging efficiency while reducing equipment footprint and resource consumption.

Patent Covers Twin Aseptic Packaging Technology

The patent, No. 603158, covers an invention titled “High-Speed Twin Aseptic Pack Packaging Machine for Liquid Products.” The patent was granted on September 18, 2026, with protection running for 20 years from the original application filing date of September 1, 2023.

The patented system is designed for the high-speed filling and sealing of liquid food products under aseptic packaging conditions. According to UFlex, its design is intended to increase production efficiency while reducing the machine's installation footprint and consumption of air and power.

Key Features of the Technology

The machine incorporates a continuous Vertical Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS) configuration, with a centre seal strip used for vertical sealing and an induction sealing system for cross-sealing the packages.

Its compact construction includes multiple machine frames, strip applicator units and vertical heads that support continuous packaging operations. An integrated PLC and HMI system provides centralized control of machine functions.

The configuration enables the formation of multiple sealed packages from packaging laminate while meeting the requirements of aseptic packaging applications.
