The new plasticring hinge closure enables manufacturers to take advantage of all the benefits of highly decorative, durable metal containers, while at the same time reducing the cost of integrating a tightly secure closure device into the container. The ringtype closure features tabs on the lid and container ring that are easy to lock securely together, stay locked through repeated handling, and then can be easily unlocked when needed.
