river point farms is building a new onion packaging facility.hermiston, ore.based river point broke ground nov. 3 on the 70,000squarefoot facility, according to a company news release.the new building, scheduled to be completed in july, will give river point 95,000 square feet of packaging and shipping space at its hermiston headquarters.&ldquoas we nurture our current customers and prepare for growth, seamless execution in packaging and shipping facilities is paramount to our success,&rdquo bob hale, river point&rsquos chief executive officer, said in the release. &ldquothe new packaging facility provides us with an opportunity to fully automate our whole onion sorting and packaging process with a high level of accuracy and efficiency, and also allows us to convert our current packing facility into a stateoftheart shipping facility.&rdquo
