Menasha Packaging Joins Amazon Transparency Program to Support E-Commerce Suppliers

The Amazon Transparency Program assigns a unique 2D alphanumeric code to every unit sold, which Amazon scans before shipment to verify authenticity. This approach helps safeguard brands from counterfeits and the damage of negative reviews.

Menasha said it will support brands end-to-end, from folding cartons and corrugate to co-packaging services, with the flexibility to meet both large and short production runs. Its advanced variable data printing capabilities allow for seamless application of unique identifiers and tracking codes, while its co-packing services streamline workflows and include options for Ship In Product Packaging (SIPP) compliant solutions aligned with Amazon’s sustainability initiatives.

“We are pleased to welcome Menasha Packaging to the Transparency Service Provider (TSP) program,” said Michael Manley, Head of Implementation and Transparency Service Provider Network, Amazon. He added that Menasha’s advanced printing, co-packing services, and Transparency API integration provide “a simplified, single workflow solution” that gives mutual customers confidence in rolling out the program.

According to Menasha, benefits for suppliers include protecting brand reputation, reducing counterfeit risks, boosting consumer trust and repeat purchases, and gaining supply chain insights through real-time authenticity tracking. Transparency codes also offer a direct way for brands to connect with consumers.
