Loupe India 2026 Highlights Growing Opportunities in Short-Run Flexible Packaging

Loupe India 2026 is showcasing how digital printing and mid-web flexographic technologies are opening new growth opportunities for label converters in India’s flexible packaging market.

The event, formerly known as Labelexpo India, highlights the increasing adoption of narrow- and mid-web printing technologies for applications such as pouches, shrink sleeves, sachets, stick packs and form-fill-seal films.

As brand owners introduce more SKUs, update designs more frequently and demand shorter lead times, converters are increasingly looking beyond traditional long-run production. Digital and automated mid-web flexographic presses offer the flexibility to serve short- and medium-run orders, customized designs and value-added packaging applications.

India’s flexible packaging industry produces more than five million tonnes annually, with conventional wide-web gravure and central-impression flexographic printing continuing to serve high-volume requirements. However, the growing demand for product differentiation and rapid turnaround is creating opportunities for converters to expand into specialized, short-run flexible packaging.

The transition also requires expertise in packaging materials, barrier performance, migration compliance, sealing properties and multilayer structures. At the same time, innovations in barrier coatings, recyclable materials and post-consumer recycled content are creating new opportunities for sustainable packaging development.

Loupe India 2026 features technology providers including Multitec, Webtech and HP Indigo, alongside suppliers of films, coatings, inks and converting equipment.
