Spanish label and packaging specialist Lappí Labels & Flexible Packaging has expanded its presence in the flexible packaging market through the acquisition of Alempack, a Portuguese converter based in Elvas. The move strengthens Lappí's manufacturing capabilities and reinforces its strategy of becoming a leading industrial group for labels and flexible packaging across the Iberian Peninsula.
Alempack specializes in flexible packaging solutions for sectors including food, meat, beverages, pet food, cosmetics, personal care and household products. The acquisition adds expertise in packaging formats such as doypacks, flowpacks, sachets and laminated flexible structures, while bringing approximately 45 experienced employees into the Lappí Group.
The transaction follows Lappí's continued expansion in flexible packaging after its acquisition of the CPM & Penta Group in 2023. With Alempack joining the business, the company further broadens its production capacity, technical expertise and regional manufacturing footprint, enabling it to better serve customers seeking integrated labeling and flexible packaging solutions.
According to the company, the acquisition will enhance its ability to respond to growing demand for high-quality, sustainable and application-specific packaging while providing customers with a wider portfolio of packaging formats from a single supplier. The strengthened industrial network is expected to improve responsiveness, production flexibility and service across key consumer goods markets.
