Introduction of Dairy Packaging with Non-Removable Lid for the First Time in Ukraine

This innovation became possible through cooperation with the company “Elopak”, announced the chairman of the supervisory board of “Molochy Alliance” Serhiy Vovchenko.

There is less plastic in the new lid – it is lighter.

“All the plastic used in the packaging for our dairy products is recyclable. At the same time, we do not use plastic from secondary processing,” clarified Serhiy Vovchenko.

At the same time, he mentioned the trend that dictates to manufacturers of dairy products and packaging: reducing the volume of the product, which increases the number of bottles and lids. Thus, the environmental impact increases.

“It is difficult to fight this,” he stated. “Smaller packaging allows consumers to buy fresh products.”

Meanwhile, in the European Union from 2024, manufacturers using lids and straws have been mandated to make them non-removable or find an alternative, said Hanna Yavorska, deputy chairman of the board of PJSC “Elopak-Fastiv”.

“And we should already be thinking about compliance with European standards,” she emphasized.

Short Description
The group of companies “Molochy Alliance” became the first dairy company in Ukraine to start using a non-removable lid on the packaging of their products under the TM “Yagotynske”. In particular, on milk, kefir, ryazhenka, cocoa on milk, sour cream, and “Herolact”.
