All4Labels Global Packaging Group, in partnership with Actega, has unveiled The Flow, a new campaign highlighting Starshine, an on-demand sustainable metallization solution. Designed to reduce environmental impact while elevating visual appeal, the system cuts CO₂ emissions by up to 80 percent compared to traditional metallic foils, marking a significant milestone in sustainable packaging.
Developed with Actega’s proprietary Ecoleaf technology, Starshine delivers striking metallic effects that transform self-adhesive labels into premium visual experiences. The collaboration between All4Labels and Actega has long been a driver of innovation and sustainability in the labeling industry, and The Flow campaign further strengthens this alliance.
“We are proud to enhance our synergies with partners like Actega and to drive sustainable change in the labeling industry,” said Dr. Guenther Weymans, CEO of All4Labels. “This achievement reflects the technical expertise and R&D collaboration of our teams, which we plan to expand in 2025 with new productive sites, ensuring customers benefit from a wider network of sustainable labeling facilities.”
The expansion includes new Ecoleaf installations in Bucharest, Romania, and Blois, France, adding to the existing Starshine sites in Nocera (Italy), Witzhave (Germany), and Leeds (UK). This network enables All4Labels to offer brand owners a variety of metallic embellishment options:
- Flexo printing technology for multi-color metallized effects, ideal for home and personal care markets and a sustainable alternative to cold foil printing.
- High-build silk screen technology at the Leeds site, delivering premium gold metallic finishes comparable to hot foil embossing—particularly appealing for wine and spirits packaging.
The result is a sophisticated, light-reflective metallic effect that enhances depth, brilliance, and brand identity while supporting eco-conscious goals.
“The metallic effect is created through a process optimized to reduce environmental impact without sacrificing quality or aesthetics,” explained Harald Jasper, Managing Director of Actega Metal Print. “Working with All4Labels allows us to push the boundaries of design and innovation while delivering responsible solutions to brand owners.”
As part of The Flow, All4Labels will present real product samples featuring Starshine across wine & spirits and home & personal care markets. The campaign emphasizes both innovation and sustainability, aligning with growing consumer demand for eco-friendly packaging.
Recent studies indicate that 39–43 percent of consumers are willing to pay more or switch brands for sustainable packaging, while over 40 percent of brand owners plan to adopt innovative eco-packaging solutions by 2025. Additionally, 90 percent of consumers now prefer brands that demonstrate environmental responsibility.
“With The Flow, we chose an abstract design that reflects the beauty and fluidity of a mindful approach,” noted Paola Iannone, Vice President of Marketing Communications at All4Labels. “It embodies the flow of change, innovation, and sustainability inspired by consumers’ choices and embraced by brand owners.”
Already commercialized and part of the All4Labels Star Portfolio, Starshine sets a new benchmark in sustainable label embellishment—uniting premium design with environmental responsibility.
