TOP TUBE LESS IS MORE

With Linhardt's Top Tube material reduction is key. Unlike normal tubes, the shoulder of the Top Tube takes up the function of the cap‘s head plate. By integrating the shoulder into the flip-top cap, it is possible to forego the head plate. Thanks to the specifically adapted shape of the shoulder an additional material reduction in the shoulder could be realized. As a result, the weight of a 200 ml Top Tube with reduced wall thickness is cut by almost half compared to a standard tube.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

•  Material reduced flip top cap with ring-shaped mounting to the shoulder: Head plate no longer necessary  
• Diameters 40 and 50 mm are in development, and Diameters 30 and 35 mm will follow
• Orifice diameter: 3 mm, larger or smaller orifices possible with tooling adjustments
• HDPE closure for higher recyclability
• Alignment of closure to the artwork possible
• Combination with reduced tube wall thickness is possible
•  Preservation of the high restitution rate
