Danimer Scientific and Ningbo Homelink Eco-iTech Co. have introduced an innovative biodegradable coating for disposable cups, utilising Danimer’s Nodax® PHA biopolymer. This home-compostable and fully recyclable coating replaces polyethene, providing a sustainable alternative to traditional paper cups. Certified by TÜV AUSTRIA and the Biodegradable Products Institute, these cups meet stringent biodegradability and reliability standards. This breakthrough allows users to compost them at home or in commercial facilities, supporting a circular economy in disposable tableware. Homelink’s expansion in Thailand will boost the production of these eco-friendly cups for global distribution.
