Company to demonstrate the Lightline Case Packer while highlighting the recently introduced TLM Generation 7 packaging platform.

Charlotte, N.C. – Schubert North America, a subsidiary of the global Schubert Group and a leader in packaging automation, will showcase its latest advancements in packaging technology at Pack Expo, October 18-21 in Chicago. This year, the company will have two booths: S-3700 in the South Hall, and W-222052 in the West Hall Healthcare Pavilion. In the South Hall, Schubert will showcase the Lightline Case Packer, a flexible and scalable end-of-line automation solution designed to simplify case packing while offering upgrades for expanded functionality. In the West Hall, Schubert's pharmaceutical team will showcase its TLM cartoner for blow-fill-seal (BFS) products.

The exhibit comes during a milestone year for Schubert. In addition to celebrating 60 years of packaging automation innovation, the company recently commissioned a new US headquarters in Charlotte, NC. The 45,000-sq-ft facility will help enhance and expedite Schubert's customer service throughout North America.

Lightline Case Packer

Designed to simplify end-of-line packaging, Schubert's Lightline Case Packer automates the packing of cartons into wrap-around cases through a modular machine concept that minimizes project planning while accelerating implementation. Ideal for applications requiring less format and process flexibility, the system delivers a reliable, cost-effective solution with low initial investment, short delivery times and a highly compact footprint featuring an inline layout for seamless integration into existing production lines.

Capable of producing up to 60 cartons and 15 wrap-around cases per minute, the Lightline Case Packer accommodates both vertical and horizontal product orientations. To minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency, format changeovers are fully automatic and can be performed without specialized parts or manual adjustments.

To support evolving production requirements, Schubert offers optional upgrade packages for the Lightline Case Packer. Possibilities include the Flex Package for orientation-independent product handling; the Changeover Package for fast and reproducible recipe-based format changes with servo-driven adjustments; the Advanced Safety Package for enhanced operator and maintenance safety; and the Inspection Package for automated product and packaging quality control.

TLM Cartoner

Running at a speed of 120 products per minute, the compact top-loading machine erects folding cartons, groups the BFS cards, and loads them into the cartons in a space-saving head-to-foot configuration. After the package leaflet has been automatically inserted, the carton is securely closed, laser-marked, and transferred to the outfeed.

The exhibited machine is part of Schubert's turnkey packaging solution, seamlessly integrating every process step—from product infeed and the Flowmodul horizontal flow-wrapping system through to final secondary packaging.

Latest Innovation: TLM Generation 7

Introduced earlier this year, the TLM Generation 7 is Schubert's latest top-loading packaging platform, delivering up to 800 products and 260+ flowpacks per minute in a compact 32 m² footprint. A redesigned frame provides four times greater stability at high speeds for improved precision and reliability.

Built for the future, the TLM Generation 7 features AI-optimized robot motion, twin-pick tooling for faster handling, energy-efficient servo technology, and a modular architecture that simplifies maintenance and integration. Web-based operation, built-in Wi-Fi, and enhanced cybersecurity further improve connectivity, flexibility, and long-term performance.

Schubert's team will also highlight its full range of services and training programs, which help customers maximize machine performance, extend equipment life cycles, and ensure smooth operations.
