PackSwitch aims to address the challenges restaurants face when choosing alternatives to plastic, particularly around cost, functionality, availability and disposal.
Zomato has launched PackSwitch, an interactive platform designed to help restaurants identify sustainable packaging options for different dishes.
The platform follows a simple three-step process: restaurants select a dish, explore suitable sustainable packaging materials and then browse relevant suppliers. It provides information on packaging performance, business viability and environmental impact, along with access to a network of 100+ verified suppliers across India.
PackSwitch aims to address the challenges restaurants face when choosing alternatives to plastic, particularly around cost, functionality, availability and disposal.
The initiative builds on Zomato’s Plastic-Free Future programme, which has recognised more than 10,000 restaurants across 500+ cities for adopting alternatives to plastic packaging. These restaurants have collectively delivered more than 100 million low-plastic packaging orders as of March 31, 2026.
The platform also includes sustainable packaging solutions from Hyperpure, Eternal’s B2B supply platform serving over 100,000 restaurant outlets across India.
