Schattdecor Group, a leading German manufacturer of decorative surfaces, has enhanced its production capabilities by installing a second Cellaxy laser system from Hell Gravure Systems. This addition bolsters the company's capacity to engrave large-format gravure cylinders, a critical component in decorative printing.
With this expansion, Schattdecor now operates two Helioklischographs for electromechanical engraving and two Cellaxy lasers for direct laser engraving. This combination allows for flexible assignment of linework and halftone cylinders, optimizing the engraving process.
Schattdecor's product portfolio includes printed and unprinted decor paper, impregnated papers, and finish foils. These products are utilized in various sectors, including wood-based materials, furniture, flooring, interior design, and the caravan industry. The company employs approximately 3,000 people across 16 global locations.
