Essentra Components, a leading manufacturer of essential components and solutions, has been awarded a gold medal by EcoVadis, the global provider of business sustainability ratings, in recognition of its progress towards a more sustainable future.

The latest rating places Essentra in the top 2% of companies assessed worldwide in the plastics products manufacturing sector, and in the top 1% for environmental performance. With a score of 77/100, Essentra ranks within the 95th percentile, achieving gold status across EcoVadis’s 21 sustainability criteria covering Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

“This gold accreditation is a testament to our progress in our sustainability journey, and our commitment to becoming a world leader as a responsible and trusted supplier of essential industrial components. There is always more to be done, but this score shows we are heading in the right direction—for our customers and for the planet.”

This recognition follows several recent sustainability milestones for Essentra, including:

  • An A- rating for climate commitments, B for Water, and B- for Forests from the Climate Disclosure Project (CDP).
  • 20 sites achieving zero waste to landfill, representing more than two-thirds (67%) of sites in scope.

With these results, Essentra continues to strengthen its reputation as a responsible and sustainable industrial partner.
