K Laser Technology, a leader in cold foil materials, is promoting its newest sustainable holographic substrate solutions—Viridian Eco-Paper and Eco-Paperboard. Use it to create folding cartons, mailers, hang tags, postcards, labels, and more.
K Laser Technology offers over 150 holographic patterns, which is the most extensive selection in the industry, the company says. Available in sheets or full rolls, Viridian Eco-Paper and Eco-Paperboard are pre-printed with a flood coat foil pattern or registered hologram.
With the specialty effects pre-printed, you can create premium designs by overprinting the substrate with white ink using various screens of opacity to cover, reveal, and colorize the holographic underlayer in a single pass.
"We believe sustainability is a beautiful thing, and designers shouldn’t have to choose between green packaging and holographic packaging," the company states.
Viridian Eco-Paper and Eco-Paperboard don't require a laminating film to print metallic effects, so it's recyclable. Since a minimal amount of metal transfers to the paper or paperboard, the re-pulping process is unaffected, making it a fully renewable solution.
