Bulog Launches New Packaging for Befood Sentra Ramos Rice

"This morning, we from Bulog, along with the Chair of the Supervisory Board and our team, carried out the launching of Bulog rice, which is called Befood Sentra Ramos," said Bulog's CEO, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, at the 'Befood Rice Up Your Day' event in Jakarta on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as quoted from Antara.

Rizal noted that Befood Sentra Ramos is a premium rice product, boasting a 14 percent moisture content and a broken rice percentage of only 15 percent. This specific composition results in a tender texture and a flavor preferred by people from various backgrounds.

He stated that by early November 2025, sales of Befood rice had already reached 100,000 tons, demonstrating the public's enthusiasm for this premium domestic product. "This shows that the public will have more options aside from the existing rice varieties. Alhamdulillah, the achievement of Befood rice sales has surpassed 100,000 tons up to this day," Rizal added.

All raw materials for Befood rice are sourced directly from farmers throughout Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke, ensuring the sustainable flow of the national food supply chain.

This absorption of paddy and rice from farmers follows the instructions of President Prabowo Subianto. Bulog has absorbed more than 3 million tons of rice throughout 2025, resulting in the national rice stock managed by the company reaching a record high in history at 4.2 million tons, which is safely stored in all of Bulog's state-owned food warehouses.

To expand market reach, Bulog distributes Befood rice and other brands through modern retail, traditional markets, and distribution networks from Miangas Island to Rote Island. The rice prices are determined based on three regional zones: Zone 1 (Java, Lampung, South Sumatra, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, and Sulawesi), Zone 2 (Sumatra excluding Lampung and South Sumatra, East Nusa Tenggara, and Kalimantan), and Zone 3 (Maluku and Papua).

The launch event in the Senayan area was lively and warmly received by the public, who also enjoyed special price promos. The premium rice is designed to meet public tastes and support domestic products that result from the hard work of Indonesian farmers.
