European label and packaging solutions provider Asteria Group has acquired Mercian Labels, a leading UK-based self-adhesive label manufacturer, marking the group's 41st production site and further strengthening its presence in the UK and European label markets.
Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Burntwood, Staffordshire, Mercian Labels serves customers across the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio of flexographic and digital printing solutions, including inkjet printing, embellishments, variable data printing, and blank labels. It is also recognized for its LabelLock range of tamper-evident and security labels designed to enhance product integrity and brand protection.
Mercian Labels holds AA+ BRCGS Packaging Materials, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 certifications, aligning closely with Asteria's sustainability and quality objectives.
