The centre is designed to bring sourcing, design, testing, prototyping and machinery expertise together.
The facility allows collaboration between customers and Antalis’ packaging specialists to develop, test, and refine packaging solutions.
Smart Packaging Centre includes virtual reality technology, 3D printing and scanning equipment, a testing suite, meeting and idea-generation areas, and a packaging machinery showroom.
Customers can bring their products, existing packaging or a specific challenge to the centre and work with the Antalis specialists to explore potential solutions.
The company said its team can develop designs and produce prototypes and samples for customers to test before selecting a final solution.
Chris Liddell, packaging business director, Antalis, said: “It gives us a space to jointly explore ideas and develop practical solutions to real-world packaging challenges.
“Bringing expertise together means we can work collaboratively throughout the development process, from the initial idea through to a solution that can be tested and evaluated.”
The centre will support customers operating across 3PL, e-commerce and retail, logistics, automotive, aerospace and wider manufacturing.
