Amcor , a global leader in responsible packaging solutions, is advancing innovation in the beauty and personal care sector with the development of its new Magic One airless dispensing system—a solution designed to deliver enhanced flexibility, sustainability, premium aesthetics, and a superior consumer experience.
At the heart of Magic One is a single-engine platform capable of dispensing output volumes ranging from 0.3 ml to 1 ml, while supporting a variety of pack sizes and designs. This versatile architecture allows manufacturers to efficiently customize packaging for diverse product lines, accelerate time-to-market, and create cohesive family ranges. Additionally, the unified engine system simplifies validation processes, requiring only one set of testing across all variants.
Sustainability is central to Magic One’s design. The dispenser is fully compliant with the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and is manufactured entirely from polyolefin, making it recycle-ready in regions with suitable infrastructure. It achieves a class-leading restitution rate of 96%, aligning with PPWR recyclability requirements while minimizing product waste. Furthermore, the dispenser is up to 9% lighter than comparable airless systems from Amcor and can incorporate post-consumer recycled content through the company’s proprietary CleanStream® recycling technology.
From a consumer standpoint, Magic One offers exceptional product protection, preserving formula integrity and efficacy while enabling precise, consistent dosing at any angle. Its high restitution rate ensures maximum product usage—particularly valuable for premium formulations. Designed for convenience, the lightweight dispenser features easy handling, a lockable pump, and portability for on-the-go use.
Aesthetically, the dispenser delivers a premium look and feel, supported by a wide range of decoration options that allow brands to achieve strong shelf differentiation and full personalization.
“Airless packaging continues to be a fast-growing segment within beauty and personal care, driven by its superior product protection and controlled dispensing,” said Lara Alemany, Product Line Director at Amcor Global Rigids Packaging Solutions. “Magic One meets the evolving needs of both brands and consumers by combining flexibility, sustainability, and a high-end user experience, while being designed for PPWR compliance.”
The innovation has already undergone independent consumer testing, receiving highly positive feedback for its appearance, ease of use, dosing accuracy, and portability.
Amcor is currently commissioning a new production line in Lohne, Germany, with commercial deliveries expected in early 2027. Samples of the Magic One dispenser are now available upon request.
