Tokyo-based design studio 21B STUDIO will present HAKO, its first exhibition, exploring the creative potential of paper materials and fabrication techniques through the concept of the box.
21B STUDIO, a Tokyo-based studio comprising three product designers, will showcase HAKO from 30 October to 8 November 2026 at TIERS GALLERY in Shibuya, Tokyo. The exhibition explores the relationship between material, form and fabrication, using the box as a central theme to investigate new possibilities in paper-based design.
Through a series of works developed around paper materials and making techniques, HAKO highlights how a familiar everyday object can become a platform for creative experimentation and product design innovation.
The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to discover the studio’s approach to material exploration and design development. Admission is free, and members of 21B STUDIO plan to be present at the gallery during the exhibition to welcome visitors and discuss their work.
