Blochain technology by Nestle, Carrefour and IBM mash up

Nestlé and Carrefour, both members of IBM’s Food Trust blockchain platform, will use the technology to track the supply chain of Mousline, a well-known brand of instant mashed potatoes. Shoppers will be able to scan a QR code with their smartphones to know exactly where the potatoes in each individual packet came from, as well as its journey to the specific Carrefour store.

New yogurt jar to health conscious-consumers

For Danone that includes developing attractive packaging for its new all-natural spoonable yogurt which is sold in Argentina. The transparent 200-ml polyethylene terephthalate (PET) jar with a wide-mouth opening and an aluminum-PET-aluminium closure with a 65mm over cap in clear polypropylene (PP) was developed in collaboration with global packaging company Amcor.

The Procter & Gamble Company  today announced the introduction of reusable, refillable packaging on some of its most popular products as part of a new effort that aims to change the world’s reliance on single use packaging and disposable waste. Additionally, new “collect and recycle” circular solutions that help eliminate waste were also introduced as part of a partnership with LoopTM , a circular e-commerce platform developed by international recycling leader TerraCycle.
