Straight Forward Design works on new Clipper packs

Straight Forward Design has partnered with Clipper to help activate its new brand positioning, which was developed by creative agency Isobel. The new campaign seeks to promote Clipper as the tea that tastes good and does good.

Anchored on the strapline, ‘There’s tea, then there’s GOOD tea’, the campaign acknowledges that it takes more than just taste to make good tea, showing how it also takes ethical and sustainable sourcing, natural ingredients and a fierce commitment to protecting biodiversity to make a truly good cup of tea.

Eastman and Neutrogena develop recyclable cosmetics packaging

Skincare manufacturer Neutrogena has worked with speciality material company Eastman to develop a film-free, recyclable cosmetics packaging solution.

Neutrogena has enhanced the quality and dependability of its metallised packaging by using Eastman Solus performance additives.

This Solus-enabled plastic film-free transfer metallised packaging ensures that the cosmetic manufacturer delivers a more sustainable product to its consumers without compromising shelf appeal, claimed Eastman.

CardBordeaux Bottle for Charles and Camilla

British sustainable packaging firm Frugalpac have produced a commemorative paper wine bottle to mark His Royal Highness King Charles III and Her Royal Highness His HxxQueen Camilla’s state visit to Bordeaux on Friday September 22.

The special paper Frugal Bottle is made from 94% recycled cardboard, has a carbon footprint six times lower than a glass bottle is five times lighter and can be recycled again.

Parkside gets creative with disruptive compostable packaging for SMUG crisps

The pack, which uses Parkside’s groundbreaking Park2Nature™ material, can be disposed of in regular domestic compost heaps, where it will break down into water, carbon dioxide, and biomass in under 26 weeks. It can also be sent for industrial composting, where it will decompose within 12 weeks.

Mondi collaborates with Veyzle, WEPA and Soprema to make release liner production waste more circular

By collaborating closely with industry stakeholders along the value chain, Mondi has tackled the siliconised and coated paper waste produced at its release liner plants in Jülich, Germany, and Heerlen, Netherlands. It is now repulped and valorised as secondary raw material in a range of other applications.

Smurfit Kappa Provides Sustainable Packaging For Brewer

The end-to-end packaging system, known as TopClip, is being used by pioneering Belgian craft brewer BeerSelect to aid in their sustainability goals.

The packaging company also provided the brewer with an automated machine system to efficiently package the beer in-house.

After examining the brewer’s operations, Smurfit Kappa installed its mid-speed TopClip machine. The device can handle 30,000 cans per hour and has proven effective with a number of small and medium sized drinks companies.

MetalMatters programme encourages metal recycling in Cumbria

As part of efforts to enhance kerbside recycling rates across the region, households are being urged to recycle different types of metal packaging.

These include food and drink cans, aluminium foil and trays, empty aerosols, and metal screw tops.

The 'MetalMatters' programme, led by the Aluminium Packaging Recycling Organisation (Alupro), will utilise targeted social media posts and bus advertisements to highlight the extensive benefits of recycling metal packaging.
