24 Dec 2024
PC Correspondent

For Spring Gully Foods, which had been importing jars from overseas, making the switch to Australian-made glass jars is a win.

“We’re delighted with the Orora jars. As a South Australian company ourselves, we’re pleased that we now use jars that are also produced locally,” said Tegan Hack, Spring Gully Foods.

“The colour of Orora’s glass jars is an improvement on the previous ones and our products really stand out – the gherkins really pop in the jar.”

Traffic signals do more than we realize to keep life sane in a fast-paced world. At the same time, they take the brunt of bad weather—temperature swings, wind, rain, and (in winter) piles of salt-laden snow banked up around traffic light bases and control boxes. In such harsh environments, traffic controls are likely to fail more quickly than their electrical/electronic counterparts in sheltered atmospheres. Therefore, Cortec® suggests two simple tools to lengthen the intervals between repairs and replacements and send a signal to corrosion.

Hanmer Springs Tea Kiosk Café and Grill at the thermal pools has swapped the traditional pizza box for reusable plastic plates for both onsite café customers and customers who wish to take their pizza poolside.

“We were looking for ways to improve our kaitiakitanga and reduce our carbon footprint,” café manager, Holly Keepa says.

“Pizza boxes were an obvious starting point on this waste minimisation journey as we knew contaminated pizza boxes are not recyclable and were going into landfill.
