Mondi has partnered with Sherwin-Williams to introduce the re/cycle SpoutedPouch, an eco-friendly refill solution for concentrated paint in the UK market. Designed as a sustainable alternative to traditional 5-litre plastic tubs, this lightweight, mono-material pouch offers a convenient, space-saving, and waste-reducing approach to paint packaging.
Innovative Design for Maximum Efficiency
Manufactured at Mondi’s Halle/Steinfeld plant in Germany, the re/cycle SpoutedPouch features a wider spout for easy filling, pouring, and mixing while ensuring product protection. Consumers can reuse existing tubs, reducing plastic waste and enhancing sustainability. The 950ml pouch, printed with clear mixing instructions, allows users to create the required paint quantity by simply adding water.
Sustainability & Supply Chain Optimization
By shifting to paint concentrate pouches, Sherwin-Williams has significantly reduced plastic usage by up to 90% compared to rigid tubs. The compact size enables 230% more units per pallet, optimizing transport efficiency and reducing storage space in retail stores. Packaged in shelf-ready tear-front boxes of five units, the pouch simplifies stock replenishment and enhances consumer convenience.
