Leading the sustainable dairy free revolution, Boermarke teams up with Elopak to launch innovative plant-based products in Pure-Pak® Sense cartons.
In a bold move furthering its commitment to sustainability and plant-based innovation, Boermarke B.V., a frontrunner in dairy alternatives across Europe, has launched a fresh range of plant-based drinks, puddings, and yoghurts all packed in eco-friendly Pure-Pak® Sense cartons with Natural Brown Board.
The packaging milestone follows Boermarke’s 2023 exit from conventional dairy operations, after witnessing a staggering 800% growth in its plant-based category. Now, with a clear focus on 100% dairy-free offerings, Boermarke is scaling its Vairy brand and private label reach across 21 European countries and its latest packaging choice is designed to match this sustainable mission.
Cartons Over Plastic: A Strategic Leap with Elopak
The new products are being filled using Elopak’s state of the art ultra hygienic filling machine, installed at Boermarke’s Enschede production facility in April 2025. The collaboration is part of a strategic packaging shift that emphasizes recyclability, premium shelf appeal, and sustainability.
“With Elopak, we have a comprehensive supplier who can meet all our packaging needs,” said Klaasjan Joosten, Commercial Manager at Boermarke. “Their Pure-Pak® Sense cartons not only protect product freshness but also offer excellent design flexibility and a reduced environmental footprint.”
Tasty Innovation for Flexitarian Consumers
Boermarke’s latest lineup includes four pudding flavours vanilla, chocolate, caramel, and orange all fortified with essential nutrients like calcium and vitamins B2, B12, and D. These join a new “Mild & Creamy” range of plant-based yoghurts, also packed in one-litre Pure-Pak® Sense cartons.
But it’s not just about packaging or reach it’s about taste. “We know from our research that consumers value taste above all, especially flexitarians seeking dairy alternatives,” said Joosten. “If we offer a product that’s just as delicious as traditional dairy, we make it easier for more people to choose sustainable options without compromise.”
From the Netherlands to 21 Countries and Growing
Boermarke’s rise is as impressive as its ambitions. What began with coconut yoghurt in 2015 has grown into a full service private label supplier for major European retailers including Lidl, Edeka, Aldi, Albert Heijn, Colruyt, and Billa. The company’s dairy free cheeses, ice creams, and now puddings and yoghurts, can be found on shelves from the Netherlands to Slovenia.
“Our mission is to become the world’s leading producer of plant based dairy alternatives,” added Joosten. “This packaging evolution with Elopak supports that journey helping us deliver affordable, tasty, and truly sustainable products to a growing conscious consumer base.”
As demand for dairy free and sustainable options continues to soar, Boermarke’s latest launch proves that great taste and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand and look great on the shelf while doing it.
