zero plastic

Building on the success of its 2024 single-use plastic ban, Kashi Vishwanath Dham is taking a bold step towards a fully sustainable future. Starting August 10, immediately after the conclusion of the holy month of Shravan, the temple authorities will implement a total ban on all plastic items within the temple premises.

This includes commonly used plastic containers for offerings such as milk, garlands, and other packaging materials, which will no longer be permitted inside the sacred complex.
