Rethinking How Pre-Made Pouches Move Through the Machine
At the core of the HKE SC Series lies Mespack's next-generation electronic vertical carousel, a new approach to pouch handling designed to maximize stability and process control. Unlike conventional systems that repeatedly transfer the pouch between stations, the HKE SC grips the pouch once and maintains full control throughout the production cycle. This minimizes positioning errors, improves handling accuracy and ensures consistent pouch alignment from start to finish.
The carousel uses independently servo-driven stations that operate asynchronously. Rather than forcing every station to follow the same machine rhythm, each station can be optimized according to its own process requirements, so that filling, opening, transport and sealing operate under optimal conditions. The result is higher speed without compromising seal quality, accuracy or pouch stability.
High-Speed Production in a Compact Footprint
Depending on the machine configuration, the HKE SC Series can reach up to 225 pouches per minute, making it one of the highest-performing platforms in its category. A newly developed transfer system between the pouch infeed conveyor and the packaging machine increases production speed by up to 30% compared with previous generations. Combined with Mespack's advanced gripper technology, it ensures stable pouch handling and reduces the risk of pouch misalignment and product spillage.
The platform has also been conceived to maximize output per square meter. An integrated electrical cabinet, an optimized station layout and a simplified machine architecture reduce installation complexity and make the HKE SC Series ideal for high-performance lines where space is a critical constraint. The hygienic design, with maintenance-free springs, grease-free bearings and robust gripper technology, further improves accessibility for operation, maintenance and cleaning.
Changeovers Measured in Minutes
The HKE SC Series incorporates Mespack's Ultra Quick Changeover technology, which automates multiple adjustments through the HMI and the Athena software platform. Pouch width, transport positioning, pouch shrinkage, stretch parameters, suction cup positioning and other settings are adjusted automatically from stored recipes, minimizing manual intervention and operator dependency.
