The rising parallel market of counterfeit alcohol poses a threat to public health. Therefore, startups design printed electronics, particularly NFC-enabled anti-counterfeiting systems (NAS), for the luxury goods business, such as alcoholic drinks. They pursue the goal of protecting these products’ provenance and authenticity from counterfeits through product pedigree, transaction records, and supply chain integrity.

In collaboration with digital start-up Qyos by Algramo, the machines will be available at two retailers in Indonesia during a 4-6 month trial period.

Qyos was founded in 2020 and is an Indonesian start-up that aims to provide households with alternatives to single-use plastic. It is supported by machines with interface systems from Chilean environmentally friendly refill technology company, Algramo.

Designed for labels with a maximum width of 140 mm and lengths of up to 350 mm, the X-Sticker can accommodate conveyer speeds of up to 20 metres per minute, supporting businesses in speeding up their operations and increasing efficiency. The applicator facilitates both top and side labelling without any additional parts being required, increasing flexibility for users.
