The new entity was founded at the end of year 2021 and counts about 20 dedicated employees.

Tageos launched its EOS-202 U9 RAIN RFID inlay. With the smallest form factor available today for healthcare and pharmaceutical applications, the new inlay has successfully passed latest tests specified by the Auburn University RFID Lab Spec S. Furthermore, EOS-202 U9 is certified by DoseID as suitable for a broad range of pharmaceutical and healthcare purposes.

Toppan Printing, a global leader in communication, security, packaging, décor materials, and electronics solutions has integrated tamper-evident NFC tag functions into the structure of paper-based packages to develop a new type of smart packaging that enhances security and helps streamline the manufacturing process while also preserving package design. Toppan has initially created four concept types for this packaging and will offer customization matched to client needs going forward.

By the end of 2020, 1,500 CVS Pharmacy locations will be equipped to fix special RFID labels to prescription vials. When the RFID labels are scanned by Spoken Rx in the app, which can be accessed by users using Siri or Google Assistant on their phones, prescription label information will be spoken out loud. This information, which is important for patient safety and adherence, currently includes patient name, medication name, dosage and directions and will be enhanced to include additional information over the months to come.
