As a pure-play online retailer, Oh Polly’s packaging is a crucial part of their e-commerce strategy.

Oh Polly were coming up against several issues with their packaging.

The first was that they had noticed that the print quality varied greatly – meaning that the boxes arrived showing different shades of their core brand pantone colour.

They were keen to ensure that the packaging was uniform, as it showcases brand continuity.

Dermalogica has chosen Aptar’s fully recyclable mono-material pump Future for their upcoming skincare launch. While traditional pumps may contain different materials, including metal components that can in some cases impact the recycling process, the Future pump is made from PE only, which aligns with the most common materials used to make skincare bottles - PE and PET, making the complete packaging, including pump and bottle, more efficiently recycled.

Platina 250, 300 & 350 Lamitubes have been recognized by Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), USA as meeting or exceeding the strict APR HDPE critical guidance criteria on recyclability.

According to EMSUR, the EM-Full RFlex range replaces conventional duplex structures with monomaterial substrates to provide “excellent barrier and sealing properties” to the packaging.

It adds that its new laminate is aimed at fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) customers, who require packaging solutions for bags, pouches or Doypakcs with monomaterial compositions.

Designed to be a drop-in replacement for conventional multi-material laminates, R-2000D’s unique performance characteristics allow it to run at high-speeds on form/fill/seal equipment.

In a context of full-scale sorting and recycling infrastructure, Gualapack’s first-ever monomaterial polypropylene spouted pouch was proven recyclable. The results of extensive testing, carried out on several sites during the course of 2020, demonstrate that sustainability through innovation is possible.
